Community Guidelines
Universal Dating is built for everyone. These guidelines help us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming space where meaningful connections can flourish.
Be respectful
Treat every person on Universal Dating the way you would want to be treated. Behind every profile is a real human being with feelings, hopes, and boundaries.
- Be kind and considerate in all interactions.
- Respect differences in culture, background, beliefs, and identity.
- Accept rejection gracefully. Not every connection will be mutual, and that is completely normal.
- Avoid insults, name-calling, or personal attacks — even if you feel frustrated.
- Celebrate diversity. Universal Dating welcomes people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
Be honest
Authentic connections start with honesty. Misrepresentation undermines trust and wastes everyone’s time.
- Use recent, accurate photos that clearly show who you are.
- Be truthful about your age, location, and intentions.
- Do not impersonate another person or create fake profiles.
- Be upfront about what you are looking for — whether that is a serious relationship, friendship, or something casual.
- Do not use the platform for commercial purposes, promotion, or solicitation.
Practise consent
Consent is non-negotiable, both online and offline. Every interaction should be welcome and wanted by both parties.
- Do not send unsolicited explicit content or messages.
- Respect when someone does not respond or declines your interest.
- Never pressure someone to share personal information, photos, or meet in person.
- Understand that consent can be withdrawn at any time — and respect that decision.
- If someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop immediately.
Keep everyone safe
Safety is a shared responsibility. Help us protect the community by following these principles:
- Do not share your personal information (home address, financial details, workplace) with strangers.
- Never send money to someone you have met online, regardless of the story.
- Report suspicious behaviour, scams, or anything that feels wrong.
- Follow our safety guidelines when meeting someone in person for the first time.
- Look out for others — if you see something concerning, report it.
What is not allowed
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited on Universal Dating:
- Harassment and bullying: threatening, stalking, intimidating, or repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop.
- Hate speech: content or behaviour targeting someone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Violence: threats of physical harm, glorification of violence, or content depicting violence.
- Explicit content: unsolicited sexually explicit photos, messages, or content. Pornographic material is never allowed.
- Scams and fraud: financial schemes, phishing, catfishing, or any deceptive activity.
- Spam: bulk messaging, promotional content, or repetitive unwanted contact.
- Minors: Universal Dating is for adults 18 and over. Any content involving or targeting minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities.
- Illegal activity: using the platform to facilitate or promote any illegal activity.
Consequences of violations
We take violations of these guidelines seriously. Consequences depend on the severity and frequency of the violation:
- Warning: for minor or first-time infractions, we will issue a warning and explain the violation.
- Temporary restriction: your account may be temporarily suspended while we investigate or for repeated minor violations.
- Content removal: violating content will be removed from the platform.
- Permanent ban: serious violations (threats, harassment, hate speech, fraud, or any zero-tolerance issues) result in immediate and permanent removal from Universal Dating.
- Legal action: in severe cases, we may report violations to law enforcement and cooperate with investigations.
We review each case individually and aim to be fair and proportionate. If you believe a decision was made in error, you can appeal by emailing info@universal-dating.com.
